Stop Italicizing the Names of Print Publications: A Logical Proof

Gawker should stop italicizing the names of print publications. Here is why.

1) Max says we should “err on the side of the Times, not XOJane.”

2) XOJane italicizes the names of print publications, including The New York Times.

3) The New York Times does not italicize the names of print publications, including The New York Times.

If we ought to err on the side of the Times, rather than XOJane, then we should stop italicizing the names of print publications.

QED.
